About the role#
AMT Engineering is looking for a Transportation Engineer Intern to join the team in Parkersburg, West Virginia. This is a full-time, paid internship for the summer of 2027. You will work alongside project managers and team leaders on various transportation projects. This role offers the potential to transition into a full-time junior engineer position after graduation.
What you'll do#
- Assist with project tasks including regulatory reviews, cost estimates, research, and procurement support.
- Manage, evaluate, and present project data.
- Prepare reports, plans, and specifications for clients.
- Complete field assignments as necessary.
- Collaborate with mentors and teammates.
What you'll need#
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- Pursuing a Bachelor or Associate degree in Civil or Transportation Engineering or a related field.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Solid technical and problem-solving abilities.
- A self-motivated and detail-oriented approach to work.
- Experience with engineering software like AutoCAD, MathCAD, or Bentley Microstation is a plus but not required.
