About the role#
AMT Engineering is hiring a Civil Engineer Intern for the Summer 2027 term in Washington, DC. This is a paid, full-time, on-site position. You will work under the guidance of project managers and team leaders, with support from mentors and colleagues. This role has the potential to transition into a full-time position after you graduate.
What you'll do#
- Assist with project tasks like research, procurement support, and regulatory reviews.
- Manage, enter, evaluate, and present project data.
- Help prepare plans, reports, and specifications for clients.
- Complete engineering or survey field assignments as needed.
- Handle other related duties as they arise.
What you'll need#
- You are at least 18 years old.
- You are currently pursuing a Bachelor or Associates degree in Civil or Transportation Engineering, or a related field.
- You maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0.
- You have strong verbal and written communication skills.
- You are a self-motivated, detail-oriented person who is ready to learn.
- You are proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with AutoCAD is preferred.
