About the role#
AMT Engineering is hiring a Structural Engineer Intern for the summer of 2027. You will work in our Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania office. This is a paid, full-time position that runs from May through August. You will work under the supervision of project managers and team leaders, with the potential to transition into a full-time junior engineer role after graduation.
What you'll do#
- Assist with project tasks like research, cost estimates, and regulatory reviews.
- Manage, enter, and present project data.
- Help prepare plans, reports, and specifications for clients.
- Complete field assignments as required.
- Handle other related engineering duties as needed.
What you'll need#
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor or Associates degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Solid technical and problem-solving abilities.
- You are detail-oriented and self-motivated.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with software like AutoCAD, MathCAD, or Bentley Microstation is a plus.
