About the role#
This is a 10-week paid internship for the Summer of 2027. You will gain experience in labor relations, collective bargaining support, and policy compliance within an industrial manufacturing setting. The role begins on June 1, 2027.
What you'll do#
- Work with HR and Labor Relations professionals on unionized workforce initiatives.
- Administer collective bargaining agreements and support workplace policy compliance.
- Manage real job tasks that contribute directly to the business.
- Prepare a presentation for executive leadership on your findings and contributions.
- Follow health, safety, and environmental policies, including the proper use of personal protective equipment like respirators.
- Promote a culture of safety in all work environments.
What you'll need#
- Proficiency with AODocs, HRIS, and ATS systems, including SAP, SuccessFactors, Google, and Microsoft products.
- Interest in data processing technology, computer science, or artificial intelligence.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
- Strong skills in analysis, problem solving, project management, and organization.
- Ability to build relationships and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Attention to detail and a track record of teamwork, adaptability, and integrity.
Location & details#
- The position is based in Greenbelt, Maryland.
- This is a full-time, 40-hour work week, Monday through Friday.
- The role offers both on-site and remote work options.
- You are responsible for your own transportation to and from work sites.
- You may need to travel to other locations for tours, shadowing, or intern events.
