About the role#
This IT Intern role supports local operations at our New York office. You will handle daily technical support, manage hardware assets, and assist with our retail POS systems. The position is on-site, Monday through Thursday, with Friday work available upon request. The initial term is three months with the possibility of an extension.
What you'll do#
- Troubleshoot and maintain employee computers, including both Windows and Mac systems.
- Configure hardware and software and set up new computers for incoming staff.
- Manage legacy IT assets by assessing reusability and maintaining a full inventory.
- Organize the IT server room and coordinate the disposal of outdated equipment.
- Assist with lifting boxes that weigh between 25 and 40 pounds.
- Manage and support POS systems across our retail store locations.
- Provide remote and on-site troubleshooting for POS hardware, software, and network peripherals.
- Install and update POS applications and prepare equipment for new store openings.
- Maintain accurate records of POS device configurations, repairs, and replacements.
What you'll need#
- Proficiency with Windows PCs and Office tools like Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- An analytical and independent approach to problem solving.
- A self-motivated and diligent work ethic with a willingness to be hands-on.
- Ability to listen well and work as part of a team.
- Previous IT operational experience is a plus.
- Bilingual skills in Korean and English are a plus.
