About the role#
This co-op position offers engineering students hands-on experience with real projects in our Bison business unit. You will work with our team to design and produce motors, blowers, pumps, and related electronics. We tailor each block to match current business needs with your career interests.
What you'll do#
- Work with experienced engineers to design, test, validate, and document new components and products.
- Build and validate the electro-mechanical performance of motors, gearmotors, blowers, drives, software, and circuitry.
- Run tests, analyze the data, and provide formal reports on your findings.
- Create and support technical documentation.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Mechanical, Computer, or Electrical Engineering degree program at an accredited university.
- Sophomore standing or higher with a 3.0 GPA or better.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to solve problems and draw conclusions.
- Skill in using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and email.
- Ability to read assembly prints and set up or tear down mechanical and electrical test equipment.
- Demonstrated ability and willingness to use AI tools to improve productivity and work quality.
- Ability to work in a laboratory environment.
- Knowledge or interest in embedded systems programming or PCB design is a plus.
- An energetic, inquisitive, and motivated mindset.
