About the role#
This co-op position offers engineering students a chance to work on projects within the AMETEK Bison business unit. You will support the design and production of motors, blowers, pumps, and motor drives. We tailor each co-op block to match business needs with your career interests to provide relevant experience.
What you'll do#
- Work with experienced engineers to design, test, document, and validate new components.
- Build and validate the electro-mechanical performance of motors, gearmotors, blowers, drives, software, and circuitry.
- Conduct tests, analyze data, and provide formal report-outs on your findings.
- Create and support the development of technical documentation.
- Set up and tear down mechanical and electrical test equipment.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an Electrical, Mechanical, or Computer Engineering program at an accredited university.
- Sophomore standing or higher with a 3.0 GPA or better.
- Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and email.
- Willingness to use AI tools to improve productivity and work quality.
- Capacity to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to read assembly prints for motors and gearmotors following training.
- Knowledge or interest in embedded systems programming or PCB design is a plus.
