About the role#
This co-op position focuses on the development and integration of electrical and mechatronic systems for humanoid robots. You will work with a team to move solutions from research into real-world factory environments.
What you'll do#
- Support the design, development, and testing of electrical systems, including power distribution, control circuits, and embedded electronics.
- Integrate sensors, actuators, and control units into robotic subsystems like arms, joints, and mobility platforms.
- Build and validate prototypes, including work on wiring harnesses, PCB testing, and hardware debugging.
- Collaborate with mechanical, software, and AI teams to ensure full system functionality.
- Analyze performance data from test systems and factory deployments to improve reliability.
- Assist with hardware-in-the-loop testing, system calibration, and signal validation.
- Document designs, test procedures, and engineering results.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing an academic degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5.
- Basic knowledge of circuit design, analysis, embedded systems, microcontrollers, and analog or digital electronics.
- An understanding of mechanical and electrical engineering principles, specifically how sensors and actuators interact in a system.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills for a cross-functional environment.
- Ability to produce clear documentation and reports.
- Must be authorized to work in the US without employment visa sponsorship.
- Exposure to mechatronics or system integration projects is preferred.
