About the role#
We are looking for an Electrical or Computer Engineering student to join our team for a Summer 2027 internship. You will work on the design, development, and testing of electronic and electromechanical systems. This role involves hands-on tasks, including building components and troubleshooting systems. You will work independently on daily assignments while collaborating with our engineering teams.
What you'll do#
- Build, modify, and assemble electrical and mechanical components.
- Set up and conduct tests on units, analyze the results, and adjust equipment to meet specifications.
- Prepare technical documentation, including process documents, bills of materials, and route sheets.
- Assist with the design and procurement of tools, fixtures, and material handling equipment.
- Support manufacturing and process improvement activities, including plant layout development.
- Review project instructions and drawings to define test objectives and procedures.
- Recommend design approaches and troubleshoot malfunctions in existing products.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an Electrical or Computer Engineering college program.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Novice technical expertise with a beginning familiarity with laboratory and shop equipment.
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Ability to obtain an active DOD security clearance.
Location & details#
- This position is located in Cypress, California.
- This is an on-site, full-time internship.
- The pay rate for this position is $28 per hour.
