About the role#
As a Financial Advisor in Training intern, you will gain practical experience in the financial services industry. You will work alongside experienced colleagues to support financial advising teams and build foundational skills in client relations and financial planning. This is a full-time, paid internship with a focus on professional growth and development.
What you'll do#
- Make outbound calls to clients on behalf of financial advising teams.
- Develop and deepen relationships with current clients over the phone.
- Schedule client appointments.
- Shadow client meetings to observe professional practices.
- Study to obtain your FINRA SIE license.
- Create and follow a personalized development plan based on your professional goals.
- Work closely with client experience teams.
- Participate in corporate internship learning sessions, training, and community activities.
What you'll need#
- You are a current junior at a 4-year university pursuing a bachelor's degree in any major.
- Your expected graduation date is December 2027 or May/June 2028.
- You have a clear interest in personal finance, financial wellness, or financial planning.
- You are self-motivated and maintain high standards of integrity and ethics.
- You possess strong organizational and time management skills.
- You communicate effectively and work well in a collaborative environment.
- You are proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite.
Location & details#
- Locations: Minneapolis, MN; Las Vegas, NV; or Charlotte, NC.
- Modality: This role is hybrid. Employees work in the office at least four days per week, with one day of flexibility to work from home.
- Compensation: The estimated hourly salary is $26.44.
- Note: This position does not offer sponsorship for students with F-1 visas.
