About the role#
This is a 10-week summer internship for the Asset Management Technology Data Enablement team. You will work within the Columbia Threadneedle Investments group to gain hands-on experience with Ameriprise tools, applications, and technologies. You will contribute to projects that support team goals, connect with other interns, and present your accomplishments to technology leadership at the end of the program.
What you'll do#
- Define business requirements for new projects.
- Develop, document, test, and modify code, whether new or existing.
- Learn and apply standard techniques and procedures to the software development life cycle.
- Identify ways to improve processes or automate tasks.
- Participate in Agile team ceremonies.
- Build a working knowledge of company systems, data, and vendor tools.
What you'll need#
- You are currently a Junior at a 4-year university.
- You are pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer or Software Engineering, Computer Information Science, or Information Technology Infrastructure.
- Your expected graduation date is December 2027 or May/June 2028.
- You are proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite.
- You must have valid work authorization for the United States that does not require sponsorship.

- This role is based in Boston, Massachusetts.
- The position is full-time for the Summer 2027 term.
- This is a hybrid role, requiring in-office work at least four days per week.
- This is a paid internship.
