About the role#
American Structurepoint is seeking a Civil Site Engineering Intern for our summer program in Austin, Texas. You will work alongside licensed engineers on land development projects, including residential, industrial, and urban redevelopment initiatives. This role provides hands-on experience in site design, covering grading, utilities, stormwater management, and roadway planning. You will also participate in intern-focused events like lunch and learns and a two-day intern celebration.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with project managers and team leaders on active land development projects.
- Perform drafting, plan production, design, and field inspections.
- Assist with cost estimation and project coordination.
- Use AutoCAD and HydroCAD for design tasks and technical analysis.
- Help prepare calculations, permit applications, technical specifications, and presentation materials.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Current student majoring in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Construction Engineering, Land Surveying, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
- A strong work ethic and a desire to learn new skills.
- Willingness to take on new challenges.
- Reliable transportation to and from the office.
