About the role#
American Structurepoint is seeking a Utility Infrastructure Intern for the summer of 2027 in Indianapolis. You will work alongside engineers on water and stormwater projects. This role includes both office work and field visits to support construction activities. You will develop technical skills through design tasks, calculations, and structured training.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with Project Managers to research data and records for regulatory compliance.
- Use Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and client databases to uncover project information.
- Conduct research and summarize your findings.
- Prepare key documents such as permit applications, technical exhibits, design drawings, and inspection records.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program for Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Construction Engineering, Land Surveying, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
- A valid driver's license and a reliable personal vehicle for travel to project sites.
- A strong work ethic and effective communication skills.
