About the role#
American Structurepoint is seeking a Road Engineering Intern for the summer of 2027 in Evansville, Indiana. You will join our Road Group to assist with transportation projects for INDOT, cities, towns, and counties. This position involves working on a variety of infrastructure tasks, ranging from rural maintenance and roundabouts to large interstate projects. You will work primarily in the office with occasional site visits.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to roadway design including layouts, drainage analysis, and design calculations.
- Perform plan production, quantity takeoffs, and construction cost estimates.
- Gain hands-on experience with 3D modeling.
- Use software including MicroStation/GEOPAK, Bluebeam, and the Microsoft Office suite.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Transportation, Hydraulics, or related degree program.
- Reliable transportation to and from the office.
- Strong work ethic and a collaborative mindset.
- Eagerness to learn and take on new challenges.
