Civil Site Engineering Co-Op - Indianapolis, IN

About the role#

American Structurepoint is seeking a Civil Site Engineering Co-op for the Fall 2026 term, running from August 10, 2026, to December 18, 2026. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position based in Indianapolis, Indiana. You will work alongside licensed engineers, Project Managers, and Team Leaders on various land development projects, including industrial, residential, mixed-use, urban redevelopment, and affordable housing initiatives.

What you'll do#

• Gain hands-on experience in site design, including grading, utilities, parking lots, roadways, and stormwater management.
• Assist with drafting, plan production, design, field inspections, cost estimation, and project coordination.
• Utilize AutoCAD, Civil 3D, HydroCAD, and Microsoft Excel to create and refine construction plans.
• Perform technical calculations and assist with permit applications and the preparation of technical specifications.
• Develop exhibits, design drawings, and presentation materials.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a degree program for Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Construction Engineering, Land Survey, Structural Engineering, or a related field with a Civil Engineering emphasis.
• A strong work ethic and a willingness to learn and take on new tasks.
• Reliable transportation to and from the office location.
