About the role#
American Structurepoint is hiring a Civil Site Engineering Co-op for our Austin office. You will work with Project Managers and Team Leaders on land development, industrial, residential, mixed-use, urban redevelopment, and affordable housing projects. This is a full-time, paid position that offers hands-on experience with site design, including grading, utilities, parking lots, roadways, and stormwater management.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with licensed engineers on the design and development of projects.
- Learn drafting, plan production, field inspections, cost estimation, and project coordination.
- Use AutoCAD, Civil 3D, HydroCAD, and Microsoft Excel to create and refine construction plans.
- Perform engineering calculations.
- Assist with permit applications, technical specification preparation, and the development of exhibits, design drawings, and presentation materials.
- Handle other duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program for Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Construction Engineering, Land Survey, Structural Engineering, or a related field with an emphasis on Civil Engineering.
- A strong work ethic and a willingness to learn new things.
- Reliable transportation to get to and from the office.
