    About the role#

    Ag Leader Technology is hiring an Ag/Mechanical Design/Test Intern to join the mechanical design team in Ames, Iowa. This is a full-time, paid internship covering the Summer and Fall 2027 terms. You will work on-site to help develop systems that interface with agricultural equipment.

    What you'll do#

    • Create and develop parts to adapt products to existing agricultural equipment.
    • Design mechanical interfaces for sensing, measuring, and recording products.
    • Produce parts and create production drawings using CAD software.
    • Troubleshoot electronic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
    • Develop and evaluate field or lab tests to ensure products meet engineering goals.

    What you'll need#

    • Junior or Senior status in a degree program for Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Computer Engineering.
    • Strong organizational and communication skills.
    • Analytical and creative thinking abilities.
    • A desire for continuous learning.
    • Authorization to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
