About the role#
As a Software Engineering Intern at Ag Leader Technology, you will join a cross-functional team building software that helps farmers plant, apply, and harvest more efficiently. You will work on real products used by actual customers, contributing to embedded and Linux-based systems. You will have ownership over your work and receive mentorship from experienced engineers throughout your internship.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with your team to design, build, and test solutions that solve real customer problems.
- Lead the design, implementation, and testing of software solutions.
- Deliver high-quality, working code within each sprint and demonstrate product features to stakeholders.
- Participate in code reviews and retrospectives to share perspectives and receive feedback.
- Champion agile practices and continuous improvement by identifying and resolving challenges.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Some coursework or project experience in C++.
- Comfort working in a Linux environment or an eagerness to learn.
- Curiosity, a collaborative mindset, and a willingness to ask questions.

- Location: Ames, Iowa.
- Work modality: On-site.
- This is a full-time, paid internship with a rolling term.
