About the role#
SurePoint Ag Systems is hiring a Mechanical Engineering intern for the summer of 2027. This role provides real-world engineering experience in the farming industry. You will work on-site in Atwood, Kansas, from May 2027 through August 2027. After the summer, there may be an opportunity to continue the internship at our Innovation Center in Manhattan, Kansas.
What you'll do#
- Perform hands-on assembly of equipment.
- Complete CAD design work.
- Handle technical documentation.
- Conduct engineering tests.
- Collaborate with the team to meet project goals.
- Assist with other essential duties as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current undergraduate status in Mechanical Engineering or Agriculture.
- Experience with SolidWorks or other CAD software is preferred.
- A genuine interest in hands-on mechanical or agricultural work.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for interacting with coworkers and customers.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to learn our proprietary software, internal processes, and product line.
- A problem-solving mindset and the ability to work as a self-starter.
- Comfort working in an environment that changes often.
