About the role#
Aecon is hiring Engineering Co-op students for the Civil West division. These positions offer active involvement in heavy civil projects with exposure to daily project management, resource allocation, scheduling, and cost control. This is a full-time, on-site role for the Summer 2026 term.
What you'll do#
- Conduct site audits and analysis while providing regular reports to project staff and stakeholders.
- Support Field Engineers and Superintendents with daily tasks.
- Track quantities and analyze productivity to help maximize operational efficiency.
- Liaise with project staff regarding project schedules.
- Monitor progress and assist in creating job cost reports for management.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a university or technical college program for Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or Construction Management.
- Beginner knowledge of construction equipment, techniques, drawings, building materials, and relevant standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Word.
- A valid driver license with a clean driver abstract.
- Previous experience in the construction industry is considered a strong asset.
