Co-op Engineering Student

About the role#

Aecon is seeking Engineering Co-op students for the Civil West division. These site-based positions offer active involvement in heavy civil construction projects, providing exposure to project management, resource allocation, scheduling, and cost control.

What you'll do#

• Conduct site audits and analysis, providing daily, weekly, and monthly reports to project staff and stakeholders.
• Assist Field Engineers and Superintendents with daily operational tasks.
• Perform quantity tracking and productivity analysis to maximize operational efficiency.
• Monitor project progress and assist in preparing job cost reports for management.
• Liaise with project staff and internal delegates regarding project schedules.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a university or technical college program in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or Construction Management.
• Beginner knowledge of construction equipment, techniques, drawings, building materials, and relevant project standards.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Word.
• A valid driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract.
• Prior experience in the construction industry is considered a strong asset.

• Modality: On-site, full-time position.
• Compensation: Paid position ($23.00 - $25.00 per hour).
