About the role#
Aecon is seeking a Quality Intern to join the team for the Contrecœur Port Expansion Project. Reporting to the Quality Director, this role supports the implementation and monitoring of quality processes on-site. This is a 4-month internship providing hands-on experience on a large-scale infrastructure project.
What you'll do#
- Support the quality team in implementing the project quality management plan.
- Monitor compliance with project requirements.
- Document and track non-conformities.
- Manage project documentation and organize quality files.
- Participate in internal audits and track corrective actions.
- Collaborate with construction and engineering teams.
- Prepare quality reports and utilize software tools such as Aconex and Procore.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's program for Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering, or Architecture.
- Strong interest in quality assurance within the construction or infrastructure sectors.
- Excellent organizational skills with a high level of rigor and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Word.
- Fluency in both English and French is required to support collaboration with the Toronto head office and local teams in Quebec.
- Familiarity with Aconex or Procore is considered an asset.
