About the role#
Aecon is seeking a Quality Intern to join the team for the Contrecœur Port Expansion Project. This role reports to the Quality Director and provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience on a large-scale infrastructure project. You will support the implementation and monitoring of quality processes on-site while working alongside experienced professionals.
What you'll do#
- Support the quality team in implementing the project quality management plan.
- Assist in monitoring the compliance of work according to project requirements.
- Document and track non-conformities.
- Manage project documentation and organize quality files.
- Participate in internal audits and track the progress of corrective actions.
- Collaborate with construction and engineering teams.
- Use software tools such as Aconex and Procore to track documents and processes.
- Assist in the preparation of quality reports.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering, or Architecture.
- Strong interest in quality assurance within the construction or infrastructure sectors.
- High level of rigor, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Word.
- Excellent command of English for collaboration with the Toronto head office and proficiency in French to support teams in Quebec.
- Knowledge of Aconex or Procore is considered an asset.
