    About the role#

    This is a part-time Student Nurse Scholar/CNA position based at the Carolinas Medical Center 3T Medical/Oncology unit. You will work 24 hours per week on a schedule that includes two Fridays, two Saturdays, and two Sundays per six-week period. This role is paid and offers benefits.

    What you'll do#

    • Monitor patient vital signs and report changes or abnormal findings to the licensed nurse.
    • Help patients with daily living activities such as hygiene, toileting, feeding, and mobility.
    • Perform patient safety observations and record behaviors for at-risk patients.
    • Maintain a clean and orderly environment, including patient rooms and equipment.
    • Assist with clerical tasks like answering phones, managing call bells, and keeping medical records.
    • Support the admission and transfer process by preparing rooms and orienting patients.

    What you'll need#

    • High School Diploma or GED.
    • Active standing in a Registered Nurse academic program, with at least one semester completed preferred.
    • Current listing with the state Department of Health and Human Services Nurse Aide I Registry by your start date.
    • Current BLS certification.
    • Ability to lift and support 35 pounds.
    • Proficiency in English and manual dexterity.

    • Location: Charlotte, North Carolina.
    • Work modality: On-site.
    • Schedule: 06:45 to 19:15 shifts.
    • Compensation: $19.80 to $29.70 per hour.
