About the role#
This is a part-time Pharmacy Intern position based in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin. You will work under the general supervision of a pharmacist to support pharmacy operations and patient care. The schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, with Saturday shifts from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.
What you'll do#
- Perform pharmacy technician duties including filling medication orders and delivering medications.
- Compound sterile and non-sterile preparations.
- Interview patients to obtain medication histories.
- Receive and interpret outpatient prescriptions and enter them into the pharmacy computer system.
- Manage medication ordering, receipt, stocking, and inventory control.
- Perform clerical tasks to ensure efficient pharmacy operations.
- Maintain a cooperative work environment by communicating effectively with management and staff.
What you'll need#
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Current enrollment in the 1st year of an accredited College of Pharmacy program.
- Wisconsin Pharmacy Technician registration.
- Proficiency with computers and solid analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work well with pharmacy staff and management.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, lift 35 pounds, and push a 50-pound mobile cart.
- Flexibility to travel between pharmacy locations as needed.
