About the role#
As a Student Business Development Team Lead, you represent Starlink in your local area. This role focuses on sales, lead generation, and community outreach. You will work in the field to build awareness for high-speed connectivity solutions. Beyond individual sales, you will also help with local recruiting, scheduling, and team coordination.
What you'll do#
- Own an assigned territory near campus by planning routes and tracking outreach.
- Perform door-to-door outreach to start conversations with potential customers.
- Explain Starlink service and hardware offerings to residents.
- Help interested customers get started using your personal referral code.
- Find outreach opportunities at farmers' markets, community events, and local business partnerships.
- Turn positive conversations into introductions to neighbors and family.
- Log your activity, sales, hours, and mileage in the field app.
- Participate in regular check-ins with your Regional Sales Manager.
- Support local recruiting, scheduling, and team coordination as a Team Lead.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in school.
- Ability to work 15 to 25 hours per week around your class schedule, including some evenings and weekends.
- A reliable personal vehicle, valid driver's license, and a smartphone.
- Self-motivated and dependable work ethic.
- Must be 18 or older.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
Location & details#
- Location: Austin, Texas.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: Hourly base pay plus commission for qualified activations. You will also receive mileage reimbursement, a monthly cell phone stipend, and paid training.
- Employment: This is a part-time position. You will be a W-2 employee of Mosaic. Employment is contingent on a background check.
