About the role#
As a Student Business Development Team Lead, you represent Starlink in your local community. You will own an assigned territory near campus, focusing on sales, lead generation, and community outreach. This role includes a Team Lead component where you assist with local recruiting, scheduling, and team coordination. You will receive paid training and ongoing coaching from field sales leaders.
What you'll do#
- Own an assigned territory and use broadband coverage maps to identify potential households.
- Conduct door-to-door outreach to introduce Starlink service and hardware offerings.
- Build momentum through local events, community connections, and referrals.
- Answer customer questions and help interested individuals sign up using a personal referral code.
- Log your daily activity, sales, hours, and mileage in the field app.
- Participate in regular check-ins with your Regional Sales Manager to review performance and refine your approach.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in school.
- Ability to work 15 to 25 hours per week, including some evenings and weekends.
- A reliable personal vehicle, a valid driver's license, and a smartphone.
- Must be 18 or older and authorized to work in the United States.
- Ambition, a coachable mindset, and comfort meeting new people.
- Self-motivation and dependability to manage your own time and territory.

- Location: Austin, Texas.
- Work modality: On-site.
- This is a part-time, paid position with a rolling term.
- Compensation includes an hourly base rate, commission for qualified activations, and potential referral bonuses. Additional support includes mileage reimbursement, a monthly cell phone stipend, and branded apparel.
