About the role#
As a Student Business Development Team Lead, you will represent Starlink on behalf of Mosaic. This role focuses on sales, lead generation, and community outreach. You will manage an assigned territory near campus and help coordinate local recruiting and team scheduling. This is a hands-on field position that requires you to be out in the community building awareness for high-speed connectivity.
What you'll do#
- Own your assigned territory by using broadband coverage maps and tools to identify potential households.
- Plan your daily routes and track your outreach efforts.
- Introduce Starlink through door-to-door visits, explain service offerings, and help interested customers get started.
- Engage with the community at local events, farmers markets, and through business partnerships.
- Turn positive conversations into referrals among neighbors, family, and friends.
- Log your daily activity, sales, hours, and mileage in the field app.
- Participate in regular check-ins with your Regional Sales Manager to review progress and refine your approach.
- Support the program by assisting with local recruiting, team coordination, and scheduling.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in school.
- Availability to work 15 to 25 hours per week, including some evenings and weekends.
- A reliable personal vehicle, valid driver's license, and a smartphone.
- You must be 18 or older and authorized to work in the United States.
- A self-motivated, coachable, and dependable attitude.
- Comfort meeting new people and initiating conversations.
Location & details#
- Location: Raleigh, North Carolina.
- This is an on-site, part-time role.
- Employment is subject to a background check.
- Compensation includes an hourly base rate, commission per qualified activation, and referral bonuses for hired team members.
