About the role#
As a Student Business Development Team Lead representing Starlink, you will manage a local territory to drive customer awareness and adoption. This is a field-based, part-time role that combines sales, community outreach, and team coordination. You will receive paid training and ongoing coaching from field sales leaders to help you build skills in territory management and customer engagement.
What you'll do#
- Own your assigned territory by planning routes and tracking outreach efforts.
- Introduce Starlink to potential customers through door-to-door outreach.
- Explain service and hardware offerings and answer questions for residents.
- Help interested customers get started using your personal referral code.
- Identify opportunities for engagement at farmers markets, community events, and local business partnerships.
- Turn positive conversations into introductions to neighbors, family, and friends.
- Log activity, sales, hours, and mileage in the field app after each shift.
- Participate in regular check-ins with your Regional Sales Manager.
- Support local recruiting, scheduling, and team coordination as a Team Lead.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in school.
- Ability to work 15 to 25 hours per week.
- Reliable personal vehicle, valid driver's license, and a smartphone.
- Must be 18 or older and authorized to work in the United States.
- A self-motivated, dependable, and coachable mindset.
- Comfort meeting new people and an eagerness to learn.
