About the role#
As a Student Business Development Representative, you will represent Starlink in your local community. This is a field-based role where you will build awareness and help residents explore high-speed internet options. You will work as a W-2 employee of Mosaic, part of Acosta Group, while gaining experience in sales, territory management, and customer engagement.
What you'll do#
- Manage an assigned territory near campus by planning routes and tracking outreach.
- Conduct door-to-door outreach to introduce Starlink service and hardware offerings.
- Answer customer questions and help interested individuals navigate the sign-up process.
- Participate in local events and community connections to build awareness.
- Log your daily activity, sales, hours, and mileage in the field app.
- Participate in regular check-ins with your Regional Sales Manager to review performance and refine your approach.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in school.
- Ability to work 15 to 25 hours per week, including some evenings and weekends.
- A reliable personal vehicle, a valid driver's license, and a smartphone.
- You must be at least 18 years old and authorized to work in the United States.
- A coachable, ambitious mindset and comfort meeting new people.
Location & details#
- Location: Raleigh, North Carolina.
- Compensation: Hourly base pay plus a $200 commission for each qualified activation.
- Perks: Paid training, mileage reimbursement, a monthly cell phone stipend, and branded apparel.
- Timeline: Training begins the week of October 5, 2026, with field work running from October 12 through the end of the year.
- Note: Employment is contingent upon the completion of a background check.
