About the role#
As a Student Business Development Representative, you will represent Starlink in rural and underserved communities near your campus. This is a field-based position where you will build sales experience, manage your own territory, and help families access high-speed internet. You will be a W-2 employee of Mosaic, a part of the Acosta Group.
What you'll do#
- Manage an assigned territory by using broadband coverage maps and territory tools to identify potential households.
- Plan your own routes and track your outreach efforts.
- Conduct door-to-door outreach to explain service and hardware offerings.
- Answer customer questions and assist them in using a referral code for orders.
- Engage with the local community through events, business partnerships, and civic groups.
- Grow your network through referrals from satisfied customers.
- Log your daily activity, sales, hours, and mileage in the company field app.
- Attend regular check-ins with your Regional Sales Manager to review progress and receive coaching.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in school.
- Ability to work 15 to 25 hours per week, including some evenings and weekends.
- A reliable personal vehicle, a valid driver's license, and a smartphone.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
- Self-motivated and dependable work ethic.
Location & details#
- Location: Madison, Wisconsin.
- Compensation: Hourly base pay plus $200 commission for each qualified activation.
- Benefits: Paid training, mileage reimbursement, and a monthly cell phone stipend.
- Schedule: Training begins the week of October 5, 2026, with field work occurring from October 12 through the end of the year.
- Employment is contingent upon the completion of a background check.
