About the role#
As a Student Business Development Representative, you will represent Starlink in your local community. This is a field-based role where you will build awareness and help residents explore high-speed internet options. You will work as a W-2 employee of Mosaic, a part of Acosta Group, and receive paid training, ongoing coaching, and support from regional leadership.
What you'll do#
- Own an assigned territory near campus and plan your outreach routes using provided tools.
- Conduct door-to-door outreach to introduce Starlink service and hardware offerings.
- Participate in local events, community partnerships, and farmers markets to engage with residents.
- Grow your network by securing referrals from satisfied customers.
- Log your daily activity, sales, hours, and mileage in the company field app.
- Participate in regular check-ins with your Regional Sales Manager to review performance and refine your approach.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a student.
- Ability to work 15 to 25 hours per week, including some evenings and weekends.
- A reliable personal vehicle, a valid driver's license, and a smartphone.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
Location & details#
- Location: Madison, Wisconsin.
- Term: Fall 2026.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: Hourly base pay plus a $200 commission for each qualified activation. Includes mileage reimbursement and a monthly cell phone stipend.
- Training: Paid training begins the week of October 5, 2026, with field work running from October 12 through the end of the year.
