About the role#
As a Student Business Development Representative, you will represent Starlink in your local community. This is a hands-on field role where you build awareness and help families explore high-speed internet options. You will work as a W-2 employee of Mosaic, a part of Acosta Group.
What you'll do#
- Own an assigned territory near campus and use broadband coverage maps to identify potential households.
- Conduct door-to-door outreach to start conversations about Starlink service and hardware.
- Answer customer questions and assist interested individuals with using your referral code for orders.
- Engage with the community at farmers markets, local events, and business partnerships.
- Log your daily activity, sales, hours, and mileage in the company field app.
- Participate in regular check-ins with your Regional Sales Manager to review progress and refine your approach.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a student.
- Ability to work 15 to 25 hours per week, including some evenings and weekends.
- A reliable personal vehicle, a valid driver's license, and a smartphone.
- Must be at least 18 years old and authorized to work in the United States.
- A self-motivated and dependable attitude.
Location & details#
- Location: Montgomery, Alabama.
- Compensation: Hourly base pay plus a $200 commission for each qualified activation.
- Benefits: Paid training, mileage reimbursement, and a monthly cell phone stipend.
- Schedule: Rolling term with field selling starting October 12, 2026, through the end of the year.
- Requirements: Employment is contingent upon the completion of a background check. Some markets may require a local solicitation permit, which the company will help you obtain.
