About the role#
As a Student Business Development Representative, you will represent Starlink in your local community. This is a hands-on, field-based position where you help families in rural and underserved areas explore high-speed internet options. You will work as a W-2 employee of Mosaic, which is part of the Acosta Group.
What you'll do#
- Own an assigned territory near your campus and plan your own outreach routes.
- Conduct door-to-door outreach to introduce Starlink service and hardware offerings.
- Help interested customers get started using your personal referral code.
- Participate in local events and build community connections to increase awareness.
- Log your daily activity, sales, hours, and mileage in the field app.
- Participate in regular check-ins with your Regional Sales Manager to review performance and discuss challenges.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled as a student.
- Ability to work 15 to 25 hours per week, including some evenings and weekends.
- A reliable personal vehicle, a valid driver's license, and a smartphone.
- You must be at least 18 years old and authorized to work in the United States.
- A self-motivated, dependable, and coachable mindset.
- Comfort meeting new people and starting conversations.
Location & details#
- Location: Salem, Oregon.
- Term: Fall 2026.
- Training: Paid training begins the week of October 5, 2026.
- Field Work: October 12, 2026, through the end of the year.
- Compensation: This role includes an hourly base pay plus a $200 commission for each qualified activation. Additional perks include mileage reimbursement, a monthly cell phone stipend, and provided apparel.
