About the role#
As a Student Business Development Representative, you will represent Starlink in your local community. This is a field-based, part-time role designed to help students build sales experience while earning hourly pay and commissions. You will work independently to connect households with reliable high-speed internet options.
What you'll do#
- Manage an assigned territory by using broadband coverage maps and tools to identify potential households.
- Plan your own routes and track your outreach efforts.
- Perform door-to-door outreach to start conversations with residents.
- Explain Starlink service and hardware offerings while answering customer questions.
- Assist customers with referral code activations.
- Engage with the community through local events and partnerships.
- Log your daily activity, sales, hours, and mileage in the company field app.
- Participate in regular check-ins with your Regional Sales Manager to review progress and strategy.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a student.
- Ability to work 15 to 25 hours per week, including some evenings and weekends.
- A reliable personal vehicle, valid driver's license, and a smartphone.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.

- Compensation: This position is paid and includes an hourly base rate plus commission for qualified activations. Additional benefits include paid training, mileage reimbursement, and a monthly cell phone stipend.
