About the role#
As a Student Business Development Representative, you will represent Starlink in your local community. This is a field-based role where you will build awareness and help residents explore high-speed connectivity options. You will work as a W-2 employee of Mosaic, part of the Acosta Group, and receive paid training, ongoing coaching, and support from regional leadership.
What you'll do#
- Manage an assigned territory near campus using broadband coverage maps and provided tools to plan your routes.
- Perform door-to-door outreach to introduce Starlink service and hardware offerings.
- Answer customer questions and assist them in completing orders using your unique referral code.
- Attend farmers’ markets, community events, and engage with local business partners.
- Log your daily activity, sales, hours, and mileage in the field application.
- Participate in regular check-ins with your Regional Sales Manager to review progress and discuss your approach.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled as a student.
- Ability to work 15 to 25 hours per week, including some evenings and weekends.
- Valid driver's license and a reliable personal vehicle for travel to rural territories.
- A smartphone for communication and field app usage.
- Must be at least 18 years old and authorized to work in the United States.
- Ambitious, coachable, and self-motivated personality with a comfort level for meeting new people.

- Location: Austin, Texas.
- Term: Fall 2026.
- Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: This role provides an hourly base pay plus a $200 commission for each qualified activation. Additional perks include mileage reimbursement, a monthly cell phone stipend, and branded apparel.
