About the role#
As a Student Business Development Representative, you will represent Starlink in your local area. This role focuses on bringing high-speed internet to rural and underserved communities through direct outreach. You will gain hands-on experience in sales, territory management, and customer engagement while working a flexible, part-time schedule.
What you'll do#
- Manage an assigned territory near your campus using broadband coverage maps and provided tools.
- Conduct door-to-door outreach to introduce Starlink service and hardware to potential customers.
- Answer questions from residents and assist them with orders using your personal referral code.
- Engage with the community at local events, farmers markets, and through business partnerships.
- Log your daily activity, sales, hours, and mileage in the field app.
- Participate in regular check-ins with your Regional Sales Manager to review progress and refine your approach.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in school.
- Ability to work 15 to 25 hours per week, including some evenings and weekends.
- A reliable personal vehicle, a valid driver's license, and a smartphone.
- A self-motivated, dependable, and coachable personality.
- Comfort meeting new people and starting conversations.
- Must be 18 or older and authorized to work in the United States.
Location & details#
- Location: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
- Term: Fall 2026.
- Compensation: Hourly base pay plus commission per qualified activation.
- Benefits: Paid training, mileage reimbursement, and a monthly cell phone stipend.
- Employment status: Part-time, W-2 employee of Mosaic.
