About the role#
As a Student Business Development Representative, you will represent Starlink in your local community. You will own an assigned territory near your campus, helping residents explore reliable high-speed internet options. This is a hands-on field role where you build awareness and connect with neighbors to expand service access.
What you'll do#
- Manage your assigned territory using provided maps and tools to identify potential households.
- Conduct door-to-door outreach to introduce Starlink services and answer questions.
- Assist interested customers in getting started using your personal referral code.
- Attend local events and community connections to build awareness.
- Log your daily activity, sales, hours, and mileage in the field app.
- Participate in regular check-ins with your Regional Sales Manager to review progress and refine your approach.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in school.
- Ability to work 15 to 25 hours per week, including some evenings and weekends.
- Reliable personal vehicle, valid driver's license, and a smartphone.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
- Ambitious, coachable, and comfortable meeting new people.
Location & details#
- Location: Richmond, Virginia.
- Term: Fall 2026.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: This role is paid and includes an hourly base rate plus a $200 commission for each qualified activation. You will also receive mileage reimbursement, a monthly cell phone stipend, and paid training.
