About the role#
As a Student Business Development Representative, you will represent Starlink in rural and underserved communities. This is a hands-on field role where you build awareness and help families explore high-speed connectivity options. You will work as a W-2 employee of Mosaic, a division of Acosta Group.
What you'll do#
- Own your assigned territory by using broadband coverage maps and tools to identify households.
- Plan your own routes and track your outreach progress.
- Conduct door-to-door outreach to start conversations about service and hardware offerings.
- Answer customer questions and assist interested residents in getting started with a personal referral code.
- Engage with the community beyond the front door at farmers markets, local events, and business partnerships.
- Grow your network by turning conversations into introductions.
- Log your activity, sales, hours, and mileage in the field app.
- Participate in regular check-ins with your Regional Sales Manager to review progress and strategy.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in school.
- Availability to work 15 to 25 hours per week, including some evenings and weekends.
- A reliable personal vehicle, a valid driver's license, and a smartphone.
- Must be 18 years or older and authorized to work in the United States.
- A self-motivated, dependable, and coachable personality.
- Comfort with meeting new people and learning new skills.
Location & details#
- This role is based in Little Rock, Arkansas.
- The position is on-site and part-time for the Fall 2026 term.
- Paid training begins the week of October 5, 2026, with field work running from October 12 through the end of the year.
- Compensation includes an hourly base rate, a $200 commission for each qualified activation, mileage reimbursement, and a monthly cell phone stipend.
- Employment is contingent upon a background check and may require a local solicitation permit.
