About the role#
As a Student Business Development Representative, you will represent Starlink in your local community. This is a part-time field role where you build awareness and help residents explore high-speed internet options. You will work 15 to 25 hours per week, with a schedule designed to fit around your classes. This position includes paid training, hourly pay, and commission for qualified activations.
What you'll do#
- Own an assigned territory near campus and use broadband coverage maps to identify potential households.
- Conduct door-to-door outreach to start conversations about Starlink service and hardware.
- Help interested customers place orders using your referral code.
- Plan your own routes and track your outreach progress.
- Build momentum through local events, farmers’ markets, and community partnerships.
- Log your daily activity, sales, hours, and mileage in the field app.
- Attend regular check-ins with your Regional Sales Manager to review performance and discuss strategy.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in school.
- A valid driver's license and a reliable personal vehicle for travel to rural territories.
- A smartphone to manage your work and log activity.
- To be 18 years of age or older.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
- A self-motivated and dependable approach to managing your time and territory.

- Employment: Part-time, W-2 employee of Mosaic.
- Compensation: Hourly pay plus $200 commission for each qualified activation.
