About the role#
As a Student Business Development Representative, you will represent Starlink in your local community. This is a field-based role where you will build awareness and help households explore high-speed internet options. You will work as a W-2 employee of Mosaic, an Acosta Group company, while gaining experience in territory management and direct sales.
What you'll do#
- Own your assigned territory by identifying households for Starlink service.
- Plan your daily routes and track your outreach efforts.
- Engage in door-to-door conversations to explain service and hardware offerings.
- Help interested customers get started using your personal referral code.
- Find community opportunities such as farmers markets and local events to expand your reach.
- Turn positive conversations into introductions and referrals.
- Log your activity, sales, hours, and mileage in the company field app.
- Participate in regular check-ins with your Regional Sales Manager.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in school.
- Ability to work 15 to 25 hours per week, including some evenings and weekends.
- A reliable personal vehicle and a valid driver's license.
- A smartphone to manage your work and log activity.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
- A coachable, ambitious mindset with a comfort for meeting new people.
Location & details#
- Location: Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: This role offers an hourly base pay plus a $200 commission for each qualified activation. You will also receive mileage reimbursement, a monthly cell phone stipend, and paid training.
