The Controls & IT College Co-Op provides hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment by supporting both Controls Engineering and Information Technology teams. You will contribute to automation systems, industrial controls, and IT infrastructure while assisting with troubleshooting and process optimization.
What you'll do#
- Assist in troubleshooting PLCs, HMIs, and automated equipment, including Allen-Bradley and Siemens systems.
- Support machine uptime by diagnosing electrical and controls-related issues.
- Participate in PLC programming updates and documentation.
- Assist with robot programming and troubleshooting, as well as preventative maintenance on automated systems.
- Provide shop floor support for hardware including PCs, printers, scanners, label machines, and radios.
- Assist with network troubleshooting, including connectivity and IP configurations.
- Support user account management, IT documentation, asset tracking, system backups, and software installations.
What you'll need#
- Full-time enrollment in an accredited college pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- Graduation date of May 2027 or later.
- Minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Ability to work at least 25 hours per week year-round.
- Basic understanding of PLCs and industrial automation.
- Familiarity with electrical systems, schematics, networking fundamentals, Windows OS, and Microsoft Office Suite.
