    About the role#

    The Operations College Co-op supports financial activities and facility operations at the Oxford Forge site. This position provides hands-on experience with financial reporting, capital projects, and general accounting within a manufacturing environment.

    What you'll do#

    • Prepare and analyze financial reports like income statements and balance sheets.
    • Track capital improvement projects, including budget and expenditure monitoring.
    • Reconcile general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies.
    • Participate in month-end and year-end closing processes.
    • Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
    • Maintain financial records and perform data entry.
    • Collaborate with departments to gather information for decision-making.
    • Perform ad-hoc financial analysis and special projects.
    • Assist with quality inspections and the sorting of non-conformance material.
    • Contribute to process improvements across the department.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in a Bachelor degree program for Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or Operations.
    • Graduation date of December 2027 or later.
    • Minimum 3.0 GPA.
    • Ability to work at least 25 hours per week, year-round.
    • Strong grasp of basic accounting principles.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP and pivot tables.
    • Analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
    • Interest in manufacturing operations and finance.
    • Experience with ERP systems like PLEX is a plus.
