About the role#
Avancez LLC is hiring an Operations Intern to support our manufacturing facility in Roanoke, Indiana. This role provides hands-on exposure to production, team member development, quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with teams across the facility to support daily manufacturing operations.
- Assist with onboarding, training, and development, including creating and updating training materials.
- Track performance requirements using tools like the Versatility Matrix.
- Support audits and compliance activities, such as PVS, SOT, and 5S, while identifying and addressing gaps.
- Validate operational documentation and maintain accurate records.
- Participate in daily 5S activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Promote safety culture and ensure compliance with regulatory and company requirements.
- Help with staffing and scheduling to meet operational needs.
- Support employee engagement initiatives.
- Use data to solve problems and improve operational performance.
- Build relationships and communicate with teams throughout the facility.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree at an accredited college or university.
- Completed at least one year of college coursework.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple tasks.
- Previous work experience, ideally in manufacturing or operations, is preferred.
- Strong communication skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
