About the role#
The Electrical Engineering College Co-op supports the Corporate Facilities and Energy team at the World Headquarters in Detroit. This role involves managing utility data, documenting electrical systems, and assisting with energy management initiatives across manufacturing operations. You will work alongside experienced professionals to gain hands-on experience in engineering analysis and power systems.
What you'll do#
- Review utility invoices for accuracy and enter data into Microsoft Excel.
- Review electrical drawings and assist in preparing presentations using PowerPoint.
- Write energy reports and troubleshoot wiring for power monitoring systems.
- Support power monitoring setup using PowerLogic software, including device configuration, data logging, alarm management, and dashboard updates.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Current full-time enrollment in an Electrical Engineering degree program.
- A minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Ability to work a minimum of 25 hours per week, year-round.
- Graduation date of May 2028 or later is preferred.
- Ability to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills and a strong interest in electrical power systems and data analysis.
