About the role#
This co-op position offers hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment. You will work alongside Manufacturing Engineers, leadership, and cross-functional teams to support daily engineering activities, project coordination, and data management. This role is designed for a student interested in developing both technical engineering and project management skills.
What you'll do#
- Support the ordering and follow-up of manufacturing equipment including tooling, fixtures, broach bars, and locators.
- Assist with basic tool and fixture design using NX 3D CAD software.
- Communicate with suppliers and vendors to obtain updates and resolve items.
- Create and maintain weekly engineering reports and presentations.
- Attend engineering and cross-functional meetings, maintaining accurate notes and tracking action items.
- Assist with ERP, control plan, and FMEA updates.
- Help develop lists of continuous improvement and future engineering projects.
- Support APEX improvement initiatives and new program implementation.
- Gain exposure to manufacturing processes and basic mechanical engineering principles.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelors degree full time in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or a related technical field.
- A minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Ability to work a minimum of 25 hours per week on a rolling basis.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Basic knowledge of 3D CAD and design principles, with a preference for experience in NX 3D CAD.
- Ability to understand and apply basic mechanical and manufacturing principles.
