About the role#
This IT Security College Co-Op position focuses on managing security alerts and events within our Security Operations Center. You will monitor our IT environment to detect and respond to incidents while maintaining our overall security posture. This role involves using tools like SIEM, endpoint protection, and network monitoring systems to protect company assets.
What you'll do#
- Monitor, analyze, and manage security alerts and events.
- Investigate, escalate, and respond to security incidents to mitigate risks.
- Perform daily security operations, including threat hunting and incident management.
- Conduct regular vulnerability scans, risk assessments, and penetration tests.
- Remediate identified security deficiencies and vulnerabilities.
- Develop and maintain security monitoring processes for critical systems.
- Participate in on-call rotations to support security operations.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a full-time degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Graduation date of December 2027 or later.
- Minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Availability to work a minimum of 25 hours per week, year-round.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated on industry trends.
