About the role#
This contract role supports the Fleet Operations team by building tools, dashboards, and performing data validation. You will work directly with L3 hardware and software engineering teams to improve operational efficiency. This is a rolling contract position requiring 40 hours per week.
What you'll do#
- Design and deploy internal mobile-first web applications for vehicle dispatch, routing, and reporting.
- Build responsive user interfaces for real-time fleet monitoring.
- Create diagnostic tools that convert vehicle telemetry and sensor data into readable formats.
- Build automated ticketing systems for maintenance requests, incident reporting, and vehicle recovery.
- Integrate AI-driven workflows to parse operational logs and identify hardware or software faults.
- Develop automated trackers to ensure compliance with municipal routing regulations.
- Construct live dashboards to visualize fleet health, downtime, and operator efficiency.
- Optimize database queries across SQL and NoSQL structures.
- Aggregate and analyze large sets of vehicle performance data.
- Gather feedback from fleet operators to improve the UX and UI of internal tools.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a B.S. or M.S. program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Availability to commit to a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Ability to commit to a minimum three-month assignment.
- Ability to work on-site at our office location.
- Adherence to all Zoox confidentiality requirements.
