About the role#
Ziegler Caterpillar offers an internship program designed to provide hands-on experience in the agriculture, construction, and mining industries. You will work alongside senior technicians to develop mechanical skills and gain experience diagnosing and repairing heavy equipment.
What you'll do#
- Assist in troubleshooting and repairing heavy diesel engines, construction, or agriculture equipment in a shop environment.
- Learn to respond to customer needs in a positive, supportive, and timely manner.
- Work with senior-level technicians to build real-world mechanical skills.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a 2-year degree program in diesel engine mechanics, construction, agricultural equipment mechanics, or a related field.
- A record of good grades and positive recommendations from instructors.
- A positive attitude and a desire to work as a team player.
- Your own mechanic tool set.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 60 lbs and push or pull up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, walking, kneeling, climbing, and reaching.

- Location: Mankato, Minnesota.
- Modality: On-site.
- Employment: Part-time, rolling term.
- Compensation: $21.00 per hour.
- Requirements: This role is safety-sensitive and requires a pre-employment drug test.
