About the role#
Ziegler Caterpillar offers a hands-on internship program for students pursuing careers in diesel and heavy equipment mechanics. You will gain experience diagnosing and repairing machinery while working alongside senior technicians in a shop environment. This position is part-time and operates on a rolling basis.
What you'll do#
- Assist in troubleshooting and repairing heavy diesel engines.
- Work on construction and agriculture equipment.
- Learn to respond to customer needs in a timely and supportive manner.
- Collaborate with senior technicians to build your mechanical skills.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a 2-year degree program for diesel engine mechanics, construction, or agricultural equipment mechanics.
- A record of good grades and positive recommendations from your instructors.
- A positive attitude and a focus on teamwork.
- Your own set of mechanic tools.
- The ability to maintain a safe and clean work environment.
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs and perform physical tasks like climbing, kneeling, and reaching.

- Location: St. Cloud, Minnesota.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $21.00 per hour.
- This role is safety-sensitive and requires a pre-employment drug test.
