About the role#
Ziegler Caterpillar offers a paid internship program for students interested in diesel, heavy equipment mechanics, and technology. What you'll do#
- Assist in troubleshooting and repairing heavy diesel engines, construction equipment, and agricultural machinery.
- Work directly with senior technicians to build your mechanical skills.
- Learn to respond to customer needs in a positive and timely manner.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a 2-year degree program for diesel engine mechanics, construction equipment mechanics, or a related field.
- A record of good grades and positive recommendations from your instructors.
- A positive attitude and the ability to work well within a team.
- Your own set of mechanic tools.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 60 lbs and push or pull up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, kneeling, climbing, and reaching.

- Location: Shakopee, Minnesota.
- Term: Rolling.
- Employment: Part-time.
- Compensation: Starting wage of $21.00 per hour.
- Requirements: This is a safety-sensitive position subject to a pre-employment drug test.
