About the role#
Young Life is seeking a Student Staff I for the Houston area. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position with a rolling application term. Applicants must be currently pursuing a college degree. Preferred fields of study include Psychology, Philosophy, Communications, Political Science, Nursing, and Public Health. Please note that this position requires the signing of a Statement of Faith and adherence to specific religious ministry standards.
What you'll do#
- Lead teams and individuals in spiritual development.
- Meet with volunteer leaders and area leadership on a regular basis.
- Raise financial support as directed and maintain good donor care practices.
- Participate in direct ministry through contact work, club, and discipleship.
- Assist with office administration and complete expense reports as assigned.
- Attend regional and area training events to develop ministry skills and spiritual maturity.
What you'll need#
- Proven relational skills with both kids and adults.
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Commitment to the Christian mission and ministry of the organization.
